Most recently March 15, international artists gathered via the http://www.8-o-8.org networked performance space with an event called RAGE versus TOMODACHI. LIVE @ _8_O_8_ is a custom web application where realtime video, audio, texting and countless other media collide and intermix in a playful and exciting environment facilitated by emergent technology.

Several artists were invited to our session, those who engaged in some capacity in this art happening online live included: José Freitas Cruz (Japan/Portugal), Takaki Hashimoto (Japan), Setenay Ozbek (Turkey), Mike Taylor (Canada), _8_O_8_ (U.S.A.), Roxanne Brousseau-Félio (Canada), Ramutis Petniunas (Lithuania), Ivanka Kolchakova (Bulgaria), Nancy Bechtol (U.S.A.), catgotwasted (United Kingdom).

Artists recited Haiku poetry, send their healing thoughts towards unfolding events in the world and in their communities, created paintings from their studios, played music, created origami sculptures, showed videos, photographs and more. We have involved hundreds of artists over the last few years and more than 40 countries worldwide. The Internet has facilitated the opportunity to reach out to artists in remote areas and connect them with likeminded souls, and initiate unique projects for their involvement and visibility.

Other shows with great success have featured invited guests such as Rex Bruce, Artist & Gallery Founder of LACDA in Los Angeles, Tiffany Trenda, Multi Media Artist Los Angeles, Rhonda Schaller, artist & Gallery Founder Rhonda Schaller Studio New York, Ron Whitehead, Performance Artist, Poet, Kentucky, Russel Hulsey, Artist, Poet, Robert Fritz, Author, Filmmaker and many more...

Our sessions and events are a zone of participation, input and response and transformation that beckons us toward openness, spontaneity and improvisation.
It is an inter-media experiment in collaborative international connection and communication that engenders an awareness of the cogent ability of internet technologies to galvanize the world culture in a constructive manner.
